About Monica Rowson

Monica obtained an undergraduate degree in Education and has experience teaching children and youth at various grade levels, including special education. She later earned a Master of Counselling degree, and became a Registered Psychologist (College of Alberta Psychologists) with competence in clinical counselling and psychoeducational assessments. Monica was employed by Alberta Health Services, Children, Youth and Families in a clinical setting, providing counselling for a broad range of mental health diagnoses and doing psychoeducational assessments. She has experience working with children, youth, and young adults with the following challenges:

Monica has been married to the love of her life for 43 years. Together they have three adult children, and three grandchildren. Monica has been privileged to have her children and grandchildren teach her the most important truths in life. Her eldest child, who has a disability, has taught her that each person has intrinsic worth and has many gifts and abilities. For this reason every person is worthy to be treated with dignity and respect.
