Office Safety Precautions in Effect During the COVID-19 Pandemic

My office is taking the following precautions to protect our clients and help slow the spread of the coronavirus.

  • Before they come to an appointment clients will be prescreened for symptoms of fever, sore throat, cough, runny nose, or difficulty breathing, and they must not have been in contact with someone who has tested positive for the Coronavirus within the last 14 days.
  • Clients will be screened upon arrival for their appointment to ensure they do not have symptoms of fever, sore throat, cough, runny nose, or difficulty breathing and they must not have been in contact with someone who has tested positive for the Coronavirus within the last 14 days.
  • Office seating in the waiting room and in testing room has been arranged for appropriate physical distancing.
  • I wear a mask. Clients will be provided with a mask if they do not have their own.
  • Reception staff maintains safe distancing.
  • Restroom soap dispensers are maintained and everyone is encouraged to wash their hands.
  • Hand sanitizer that contains at least 60% alcohol is available in the testing room.
  • Physical contact is not permitted.
  • Tissues and trash bins are easily accessed. Trash is disposed of on a frequent basis.
  • Common areas are thoroughly disinfected at the end of each day.
  • We schedule appointments at specific intervals to minimize the number of people in the waiting room.
  • We ask all clients to wait in their cars or outside until 5 minutes before their appointment times.
  • Documents such as consent forms and rating scales will be quarantined for 4 or more days prior to the appointment and be opened by the client/client’s parent, as to minimize transfer of germs.
  • Pens, testing materials, I-Pads, clipboards, and areas that are commonly touched are thoroughly sanitized after each use.
  • During testing, when a distance of 2 meters cannot be maintained, the client and I will be separated by a Plexiglas barrier
